1) Commenting
Look for large traffic blogs in your niche and try to visit them. Leaving comment on their blogs is a great way to get new targeted traffic to your blog. To find blogs you may use blog search engine like www.blogsearchengine.com, www.google.com/blogsearch and www.searchengineblog.com.
2) Submit Articles
Write articles that are related to your blog and submit them to popular article directories such as articledashboard.com, goarticle.com, articlealley.com, isnare.com, and ezinearticles. Articles that possessed good qualities may drive you a lot of free targeted traffic and it means lot of earnings and revenues.
3) Participate in Forums
You should google for the word "sign up forum". Google will report about a hundred forums or more and then look for forums that have over 10,000 members. Read their TOS and/or rules before signing up to see whether you can promote your blogs or websites, and/or allow you to add a link of them in the signature. Try to participate in discussions where you can ask questions, answer other members questions and post articles based on your ideas and thought in the forums. 4) Submit Your Blog to Search Engines or Directories
Lot of bloggers used this by submitting their url to search engines such as yahoo and google and got tremendous results as far as traffic is concerned. If the two search engines didn't go well for you then try http://freesubmission.com where you can find lot of search engines to choose from.
5) Post Often
If you have time enough to make 5 posts a week then do it. You can lose traffic if you seldom update you blog and that mean lost of earnings. This not only maintains your traffic but it might attract lot of readers as well.
6) Blogging
Blogs can change lives. Now, blogging is a billion dollar industry. So, you must write helpful and quality articles that can attract people to keep coming back for more. If you write posts people enjoy reading, they comes back regularly to read your posts. It will surely gain more traffic and therefor generate earnings or revenue.
7) Bookmarking
Bookmark you blog posts in the large bookmarking sites. Stumbleupon.com, Addthis.com, Digg.com and Netscape.com...there are too many to mention. Use Google search to find more. Don't be surprise because lot of bloggers are using this technique with positive results.
8) Run a Contest
I have seen lot of blogs where contest runs on their page, on the first page of course. This is a good idea as it generates more traffic and/or visitors more especially if the prize involves a certain amount of cash or quality articles or goods.
9) On-page Optimization
Optimizing your site is essential to generate traffic and convert that traffic to needed earnings and/or revenue. Make sure your blog's title tag and description tag contain your targeted keywords. When you have posted plenty of quality blog post and done a lot of blog promotion, your page ranking increases and eventually your earnings also increases.
10) Advertise on GPT Sites
This step is the most effective and a hundred percent sure traffic surges to your blog when you advertise on any popular GPT sites.
